Research Acknowledgement

It is extremely important that our grant is cited in all publications resulting from the use of NORC services. Our productivity and effectiveness as a Center is measured in part by the citation of the grant in published work. Please use the following acknowledgement in your publications:

This work utilized Core Services supported by grant DK089503 of NIH to the University of Michigan.

Core Services

Weight Management Program
The Blue Cross Network (BCN) Healthy Blue Living Weight Management Program is a Demonstration Unit, which provides clinical care and investigates the feasibility of performing advanced phenotypic testing techniques, developed by other cores, for obesity management in a clinical population.
Animal Phenotyping Core (APC)
The APC provides infrastructure to perform advanced, standardized, metabolic phenotyping of animal models of obesity and metabolic diseases.
Human Phenotyping Core (HPC)
The HPC is a collaborative network of laboratory and research facilities on campus, which provide expanded support for clinical and translational research studies utilizing nutrition interventions and/or focused on obesity or obesity-related metabolic disorders in humans.
Molecular Phenotyping Core (MPC)
The MPC performs functional metabolic studies in in vitro systems and provides analytical tools which permit structural identification and quantification of metabolites.
Integrative Biostatistics and Informatics Core (IBIC)
The IBIC provides support for all other cores through expertise in experimental design, data management and analysis for preclinical, clinical, and translational research.
Administrative Core
The Administrative Core supports research and services in the five research cores and is responsible for the overall management of the NORC.
